In an age when a 10yearold restaurant is considered venerable, one with staying power, good food and worthy service, Bai Gencho could be labelled a hoary veteran. Its life starting from 1953 began as a liquor and wine shop on the corner of Khan Kroum and Rakovski streets, one of the most patronised such stores in Bulgarias capital, if we trust the restaurants autobiography.
